About Me

So I was an architect and a world traveler until my life was happily hijacked by my kids.  Now this blog is mostly about my adventures with them - a fashion obsessed redhead, a toddler so chill we nicknamed him the dude, and #3 due in June.

Me and my daughter on New Years Eve 2010 at my brother's wedding.
I knit and drink wine as much as possible (well when I'm not pregnant).

I am a born and raised Clevelander and I love my hometown.  Even if I did marry a Steelers fan.

The Life in Cleveland Family.  April 2011.  Lake Erie and Cleveland in the background.  Just as it should be.
I enjoy photography and dabble in many other crafts - most recently sewing.  I am also an indie dyer and my company Destination Yarn allows me to combine my passions.

My name is Jeanne but online I go by Sourire11.  Yes my silly screenname from the days of AOL stuck with me this long.  Meh.  At least my fashion sense has improved since then.

Rocking the hand knits in February 2010 - I knit this traditional stranded sweater in 16 days for the Knitting Olympics.  Hells. Yeah.

 This is my husband, Matt:

Durrow Sweater
Also Rocking the hand knits.  This is his Durrow aka the Brit Killing Sweater.  It took me 2 years to complete.  Yeah
He's an architect, too.  We sat next to each other in our very first architecture studio at the University of Cincinnati.  We were married in October of 2004:

We used to do all sorts of crazy awesome things like this:
Machu Picchu
Machu Picchu, September 2007.  We hiked here via the 3 day Inca Trail as part of a 2 week adventure in Peru.
Now our crazy awesome looks more like this:
Go Steelers
I told you my husband was a Steelers fan.

I have two kids.  A red-head almost 4 year old born on Saint Patrick's Day 2009:

LEEOW SKIRT
She loves those shoes so, so, so much.
She's fashion obsessed and has very much creative input into any project I complete for her.  Seriously.  I refer to her as The Girl.

And a very chatty almost 2 year old boy who was born in April of 2011:

Hi.
His little personality is just emerging but so far he loves the water and hates being hot.  My kind of guy.  I refer to him as The Boy or The Dude.

Then there's #3, our go big or go home baby, who is still a mystery.  We'll get to meet him or her sometime in June:

Baby #3 Ultrasound

We also have a dog.  She's a Basset Hound / Jack Russel Terrier mix that we rescued thinking she was an adult dog.  Turns out she's actually younger than my first kid.

Dog
Pictured:  Not a good dog.  But a cute dog who's good with kids so...

So yeah.  That's me.  Feel free to pull up a chair and stay awhile!
